Mr. Hitchcock was the most prolific museum model builder in America up to his passing several years ago.

His ships are in every major maritime museum from Nantucket to the Peabody Museum, Savannah, Mariner's Museum in Newport  News...

The British National Maritime Museum has a huge shipyard complex model by Hitchcock and his submarines are in the Smithsonian.

This tasteful small model of the America was made for our private collection years ago and now we are ready to sell.

The model is 26" long , 32" including the inlaid mahogany and glass showcase.    $3900

The Mermaid is a wonderful example of the early whaleships that visited Maui in the nineteenth century. 

She was made totally from scratch by marine architect Andrew Anderson Wall while he was living here on the island.

It took around one thousand hours of work, including individual copper plates over hand made planking, custom made copper

try work ovens, complex donkey  engine, hand made whaling harpoons and many, many other features.

This exquisitely rigged and authentic whaler is 30" long and can be had for $4500.
